Ryan Thomas makes “creepy” debut as Rafael in Neighbours – and is a big hit with fans in UK and Australia

Former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas made a big impression as he made his debut in the iconic Australian soap Neighbours.

Ryan didn’t even have to say a word as he skulked onto the screen as the silent and mysterious Rafael Humphrey, his character’s bizarre behaviour was enough to give viewers here in the UK and Australia the creeps.

Mysterious stranger Rafael, an English tourist with a score to settle, was seen lurking around Toadie’s 90s themed birthday party.

But instead of enjoying the celebrations he silently stole a key card to a room and appeared to get emotional when he came across a chess piece during his search.

Neighbours fans here in the UK got to see Ryan’s scenes first on Monday night in an hour-long late night special called Hit and Run on Channel Five. In Australia it was screened on Tuesday as a one and a half-hour movie-length episode.
