Real Housewives star Tanya Bardsley gets caught out in the rain in Manchester

We’ve enjoyed weeks of lovely sunshine this summer, so like many of us the Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley got caught out when the rain clouds opened again in Manchester.

The reality TV beauty managed to raise a smile despite the downpour as she raced to take cover while heading on a girls’ night out at swanky Spring Gardens restaurant Rosso.

Glam Tanya, the wife of Burnley footballer Phil Bardsley, was out on the town on Thursday night to celebrate a pal’s birthday – and she looked summery in an orange floral dress with tan high-heeled sandals.

The resourceful mother of four held a gift bag above her glossy brunette tresses to keep them dry as she raced to the town celeb haunt, clutching a bag from her own Tanya Bardo boutique in Wilmslow in the other hand.

Sharing a photo from the night on her Instagram she said: “Happy birthday to my bestie @gingerlocks_cheshire I love you to the moon and back always.”

And fans rushed to compliment her outfit from My Glam Style UK.

Tanya looked in great spirits as rumours swirl about a “massive shake-up” ahead on the upcoming eighth series of the ITVBe reality series The Real Housewives of Cheshire.

She was recently spotted having a lunchtime catch-up with former co-stars Leanne Brown and Ampika Pickston who starred together on the hit docudrama from its first series at the newly-launched Parea bar on London Road in Alderley Edge.

The stars of the show have been sworn to secrecy on details of the new series, but there is talk of new cast members joining as bosses look to shake up the format.

Leanne, married to former Manchester United player Wes Brown, left the Real Housewives after six series to concentrate on her charity work and to pursue other media interests and Hale Barns beauty salon owner Ampika quit the show last year after series five.

The Real Housewives follows the lives of the rich and famous Cheshire set.

Series seven, which aired this spring, starred Tanya with property entrepreneur Dawn Ward the wife of former footballer Ashley, fashion boss Seema Malhotra, parfumier Lauren Simon, property landlord Rachel Lugo, blonde bombshell Ester Dee, singer Nermina Pieters-Mekic the wife of Stoke City player Erik Pieters and artist Stacey Forsey.

Take Me Out host Paddy McGuinness’s wife Christine had a guest role in the last series.
