Police are trying to identify a man who was found collapsed unconscious in the street and is now fighting for life.
The man was found in Holloway Road at around 10.40pm on Saturday after officers were flagged down by a member of the public.
He had stopped breathing and officers carried out resuscitation at the scene to establish a pulse.
The man, who had no identity documents on him, was rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Police today appealed for any family to get in touch.
The man is described as black, aged around 50, 6ft 4in tall, of muscular build with a bald head.
He has a scar beneath his right eyebrow and a tattoo on his right shoulder of two playing cards.
Police say the man is thought to have collapsed and no foul play is suspected.
