Man found collapsed on north London street is identified as 53-year-old from Islington, police confirm

A man found collapsed unconscious on Holloway Road has been identified, police confirmed.

He was found in the street at around 10.40pm on Saturday after a member of the public alerted officers. 

Scotland Yard now understand him to be a 53-year-old man from Islington.

His family have been informed, and he remains in hospital in a serious condition.

The man has a tattoo on his right shoulder of two playing cards

The man was rushed to hospital after officers found he had stopped breathing and carried out resuscitation at the scene.

He had no identity documents on him, prompting police to appeal for his family to get in touch.

They released images of the man, including one of a tattoo on his right shoulder of two playing cards.

Police say the incident is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesman from Met Police said: “A man found collapsed in Holloway Road has been identified.

“He has now been identified as a 53-year-old man from Islington.

“His next of kin have been informed.

“The man remains in hospital in serious but stable condition.

“We thank the public and the media for their assistance.”
