London snow pictures: Thousands of Londoners share images of capital transformed into winter wonderland

London was transformed into a beautiful winter wonderland after being blanketed with snow overnight.

The ‘Beast from the East’ brought heavy snow to the capital during the night to leave it looking majestically beautiful.

By the time the sun rose, clear blue skies were over London and the south-east, leaving snow glistening white in the morning sunshine.

And with temperatures staying well below freezing at -2C throughout the morning, the snow stuck around for people to enjoy – and share photos of.
