Londoners have shared their amazing pictures of a beautiful sunrise as they woke up to a snow-covered capital.
Heavy snow caused severe early delays for millions of London commuters this morning but for many, their spirits were undampened.
The view from Greenwich was golden in the dawn light as snow settled in mounds on the railings.
Roofs along the Thames were lined with frost as reflections of the orange sun glinted on the river.
Even the boats spotted by Tower Lifeboat Station RNLI had snowy hats on.
Temperatures plummeted overnight across the country, with Benson in Oxfordshire recording a low of -10C (14F).
For most places the mercury hovered at between -4C (25F) and -7C (19F).
There are also warnings of disruption to trains, with affected operators including c2c, Greater Anglia and Stansted Express, ScotRail, Southeastern, Southern, Thameslink and Gatwick Express, South Western Railway, TfL Rail and London Overground, according to National Rail Enquiries.
