Fans had hoped for an Oasis reunion after there appeared to be a truce between Liam and Noel Gallagher before Christmas.
But it looks like the infamous sibling rivalry between the Gallagher is far from over as Liam made a swipe at his older brother over the Brit Awards nominations.
Liam is in the running for Best Male Solo artist at the awards, but Noel has failed to chalk up a single nomination.
And the Wall Of Glass singer took to Twitter to taunt Noel over his success.
At first he wrote gracious message, saying: “So I hear I’ve been nominated for british male solo artist at the Brits this year “YOU GOTTA BE IN IT TO WIN IT”as you were LG x”
But then he took the opportunity to throw shade at Noel, calling him “the creepy one” and saying it’s a shame he won’t have chance to lord it over him at the ceremony on Wednesday February 21.
He said: “So the creepy 1 gets blanked at the Brits oh well was looking forward to hurling abuse at him and his poshos from across the room LG x.”
Liam is in competition against Ed Sheeran, Loyle Carner, Rag’n’Bone Man and Stormzy in his category.
As a member of Oasis he boasts six wins and 17 Brits nominations but this is his first solo nod after releasing the album As You Were in October. Noel’s third studio album Who Built The Moon with his band Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds was released the following month.
Last month Liam ruled out an Oasis reunion – but said he had reached a “truce” with Noel.
Speaking to the Australian Age, Liam said there would be ‘no more slagging’ on the internet.
He said: “I got a little thing through the door from his management team and so I think there’s been a bit of a reach-out and a bit of a truce,” he said.
“It’s all good – season of goodwill and all that, you know?”
He sent Oasis fans into meltdown when he tweeted: “I wanna say Happy Xmas to team NG it’s been a great year thanks for everything looking forward to seeing you tomorrow,” Liam tweeted.
He followed it up with a reply that said he and Noel were “all good.”
But it seems the feeling of goodwill wasn’t set to last.
