Jeremy Corbyn has shared pictures of himself making the most of the extreme weather in a snowball fight on his balcony.
Images of Mr Corbyn grinning widely mid-snowball throw were posted to the Labour leader’s Instagram on Tuesday as freezing temperatures across the UK brought fears of transport chaos.
A sizeable snowball hurtled to the right of the shot as Mr Corbyn leaned back to chuck it.
The caption read: “What office balconies are made for #SnowMuchFun.”
The playful politician was also pictured from a nearby window, laughing and appearing to have just thrown a snowball.
Behind him the streets alongside the Thames are blanketed in a white carpet of snow.
The Met Office has issued an Amber weather warning for snow and ice across London and the south east after Londoners woke to temperatures as low as -3C.
A yellow weather warning for snow is in place for the rest of the UK amid what forecasters have predicted as the coldest week since 1991.
Rail providers including London Overground, Southeastern, Greater Anglia and South Western have warned of travel disruption due to the Siberian blast – dubbed “the Beast from the East”.
