Britain’s top female banker pocketed £2.7million last year.
Virgin Money boss Jayne-Anne Gadhia took home £880,000 of fixed pay and £234,000 towards her pension, plus a £1.5million bonus.
Her pay rose from £2.1million.
Gadhia has spoken out about sexism in the City and attacked former employer, RBS, for its misogynist culture before the crisis.
The married boss, who lives in a £2.6million house in Edinburgh, has presided over a 35 per cent profit rise to £273.3million at Virgin in 2017.
