Emmerdale favourite Danny Miller has hit out at Twitter over the use of “offensive” language by an internet troll.
The Stockport actor says he’s complained to the social media giant 16 times about the same person using a different account.
Following his latest complaint, over the use of an offensive word, he was told the troll hadn’t broken the rules.
He was told: “We have reviewed your report carefully and found that there was no violation of the Twitter Rules against abusive behaviour.”
Hitting back at the finding Danny raged: “Honestly @Twitter sort your s**t. To say that the word ‘F****t’ isn’t offensive. And to say its not ‘abusive behaviour’ when this is my SIXTEENTH complaint about the same dead leg with a different account.. Won’t be on here much longer I can tell you that. Sort. Your. S**t. Out!!”
Followers rushed to support Danny, with one writing: “Many of us have reported this account. Hope Twitter sort out their priorities because this is not on. Just know we all love ya x”
Vanessa Booty commented: “Ugh honestly, Twitter sort it out! Just remember for every idiot like this there is millions of lovely people who support you and love you. X”
And ‘Britt’ tweeted: “Disgusting. I reported it too. Take action Twitter.”
This week Danny’s character Aaron Dingle and his on-off partner Robert Sugden finally reunited after almost a year of heartbreak and tears.
An hour-long episode saw the lovers nicknamed ‘Robron’ seize another chance at happiness.
Danny has played Aaron in the ITV1 rural soap since 2008 and has won and been nominated for multiple awards for the hard-hitting role including the British Soap Award for Best Actor three times.
