A young man has been stabbed to death in west London.
The 25-year-old died after suffering a fatal wound to the chest on Old Oak Road in Acton on Thursday.
The Met Police said officers were called by paramedics to Old Oak Road at shortly before 4pm to reports of an injured male.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both Old Oak Road and part of Uxbridge Road are closed as police investigate the death.
“At this early stage we retain an open mind as to motive,” a spokeswoman for the force told the Standard.
No one has yet been arrested and officers are awaiting formal identification.
Enquiries are currently ongoing to trace the man’s next of kin and a post-mortem examination is due to be arranged.
It comes after a string of murders in the capital since the start of 2018.

A boy has been charged and two other arrested after a shopkeeper was also killed outside his shop in Mill Hill on Saturday night.
