Celebs have been sharing moving messages and photos to mark Mother’s Day.
Famous faces are celebrating Mothering Sunday, taking to social media to post their nostalgic pictures and loving words to honour the strong women in their lives and maternal bonds.
Corrie favourite Kym Marsh moved her mum to tears with a post on her Instagram, describing Pauline as “the sunshine in my rain, the light in my darkness, the smile through my tears and the comfort through my pain.”
Sharing a picture of the two women together at the Pride of Birminham Awards, she wrote: “Mum you mean the whole world to me. I am so lucky to have you and I thank god every day that you are my mum.
“You have taught me everything, how to be there for my children as a friend not just as a parent. Shown me what it is to truly love your children. Taught me how to take care of my family. Taught me how to be the best mum I can be and If I am half the mother you are then I am winning!!
“Thank you mum for everything you have done and still do for me. Without you I would be nothing. My whole world. My best friend my mummy. I love you always and forever.”
Touched by her daughter’s loving words Pauline replied: “Oh love you’ve got me crying again thank you I love you too so much xx”
Coleen Rooney told fellow mums on her Instagram “I admire you all love this picture … thank you”, sharing a black and white portrait of herself and her four boys Kai, Klay, Kit and new arrival Cass.
Former Corrie star Lucy-Jo Hudson shared picture of a super-cute card from her daughter Sienna Rae with the words: “The luckiest mummy in the world, #mothersday #mygirl #truelove #myworld.”
And Catherine Tyldesley from Walkden, who plays Eva Price in the ITV1 soap, shared an adorable video of her singing and cuddles and a kiss with her two-year-old son Alfi, saying: “Being a mum… the greatest blessing there is.
“Alfie James Pitfield… making me a better person since 2015… I love you more than words could ever express. This is one of my fondest memories – our very first duet last summer.”
Catherine also shared photos of her female relatives with the words: ” Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful mums and my gran. I am truly beyond lucky. I love you all so much. Counting my lucky stars every day. #strong#inspirational #beautiful.”
Co-star Shayne Ward from Clayton, who plays Aidan Connor in the show, Instagrammed a photo of himself with his proud mum Philomena with the words: “Happy Mother’s Day to the most incredible Mammy. We love you. @sophieaustin84 Baba willow x”
And to his fiancee Sophie Austin, the mother of their 15-month-old baby, he said: “Happy Mother’s Day to my Rock.
“Daddy and Baba love you so much. #blessed #weloveyoursmile.”
And Oasis legend Liam Gallagher paid tribute to his mum Peggy on Twitter, saying: “Happy Mother’s Day to the best Mam in the world Peggy G as you were LG x”
Former Real Housewives of Cheshire star Magali Gorre, the proud mother of sons Kenji, Aidan and Quinten with Dutch footballer coach and former player Dean Gorre, showed followers a photo of herself as a tiny baby held by her mum with the message: “That’s me in the arms of my mother in Holland we celebrate Mother’s Day another date. So as a mum myself I can celebrate it twice this year.”
Former Corrie actress and disability rights campaigner Melissa Johns, who was born with one arm, also shared a throwback picture, saying: “Happy Mother’s Day mama.
